(Your login name is your email address. Your password is what you enter on your application.) After logging in, please select the brown SIGN-UP button. When the calendar is in view, select our scheduled volunteer date (September 18, 2019) with a “HELP WANTED” call out. Look for University of Akron Alpha Phi Omega and select SCHEDULE ME. PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT Welcome to your Foodbank: The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is located at the corner of Dart Ave and Opportunity Pkwy off of OH-59 near Downtown Akron. Our address is 350 Opportunity Pkwy, Akron, OH 44307. Get Directions. When you arrive, please park in the front of the building or in the Dart Avenue parking lot. Use the RED Visitor Entrance to enter the building. If needed due to a full parking lot, please proceed to the Shipping and Receiving area to park. Again, enter through the RED Visitor Door and proceed to the Front Desk. What to wear: It is best to dress in layers. The weather outside affects the temperature inside our warehouse. Safety is our priority! Please note that open-toed shoes and jewelry are not permitted in our warehouse when handling food Comfortable shoes are recommended as you may be on your feet the entire time. Your volunteer project: Volunteer projects are based on the daily needs of the Foodbank. The time you give sorting and inspecting food donations, labeling product for repackaging or packaging bulk items helps us provide 105,000 meals to people struggling with hunger in our community each and every day!
