Homecoming Golf Cart Volunteers!
We need volunteers to drive golf carts Thursday evening, all day Friday, and Saturday morning of Homecoming weekend. The shifts are 2 hours, and if you volunteer for 4 you will get a free Homecoming shirt. If anyone is interested you can email or text Sara Dust (she's currently a pledge, but couldn't come tonight). It is a super easy/fun way to get volunteer hours. You will pretty much just be driving alumni around campus, a lot of them are very chatty so you will probably hear stories about their time at Wesleyan and how everything has changed. Her info is: sdust@iwu.edu and phone number 773-490-7717
Camp PALS Volunteers!
My name is Leah Seielstad and I am a junior nursing major here at IWU. I am contacting you because you are the president of Alpha Phi Omega, a great organization here on campus with outstanding people! This past summer, I became involved in an amazing program called Camp PALS. This camp pairs you up one-on-one with an individual with Down syndrome. It is a week-long adventure in cities across the country such as Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and more! Throughout the week, you and your camper will take trips to places in the city. For Chicago, these may include places such as the Shedd Aquarium, the beach, and the bean! I am an ambassador for Camp PALS and I am fundraising money and recruiting male counselors for this upcoming summer of 2018. If you know anyone that you think would make a perfect fit, please let me know! If you would like more information or have any questions, please email me! I am happy to send brochure or talk to anyone who is interested. (lseielst@iwu.edu)
