Community Service Events Cont.
Hello - my name is Angelique Racki with BCAI School of Arts here in Bloomington. We are an expression platform and arts education for everyone regardless of income or background.
On November 4th, from 7-10p, we are having an adults only fundraiser (21+) and want to provide childcare simultaneously (from 530p-11p). We never do anything without purpose so instead of just babysitting, we want to provide multiple workshops that will force imaginations to be used and skills to increase.
Youth Build is proposing 2 different workshops (1 science projects, 1 light building/construction) and NOIR Dance Troupe at ISU is holding a hip hop/performance dance workshop. We need at least 1-2 more workshops and would like to host this at the Memorial Center (which we have already scheduled). Also, at the end of the night we want to provide a dance party, so even if you don't think you can help with a workshop, we could use you here too!
Please respond to this as soon as possible if you are interested. The ages are most likely 13 and under and there will be approximately 50+ youth. This is an unpaid volunteer event opportunity. We don't train ordinary youth. We have the unique ones, the ones that don't necessarily fit in (b/c they're not meant to). So if you can relate, please be a part of this. We need a total of 30 volunteers minimum or every hour. Thank you in advance!!
Ideas for workshops, contacts, can anyone help, other thoughts...
